As much as all of us here wish we can automatically rise up in a “wake up and slay” mode everyday, sometimes we just can’t quite bring on our A game. I know Friday was like 2 seconds ago and we probably can’t get over the fact that the weekend flew by in a blink of an eye, but the reasons behind our unmotivated behavior might be deeper than that. And even after managing to build our #BossLady Habits, we’re just not up for the whole alpha female lifestyle at the moment. Our overwhelming schedules definitely don’t help, but before we start blaming the busy daily grind, I’m calling for a little introspection to uncover all that might be keeping us away from being the ultimate #BossLady.
Lack of self- confidence.
We were born to be real, not to be perfect so there should be no shame in admitting to a loss of confidence as soon as it happens. When self-confidence is low, we start doubting ourselves and our insecurities suddenly take over our inner strength. Once we admit to it, we can start learning how to rebuild our lost self-esteem and embrace our fierce. Our self-confidence is a reflection of the value we give ourselves and how we personally judge our own abilities. It’s a state of mind that limits us from reaching our full potential when we undervalue our self-worth and underestimate our strengths. Then, we just have to own who we are completely and entirely with all of our assets and all of our flaws. It takes quite the nerve to boost our self-esteem from fear of looking too cocky and pretentious. Though, confidence is not believing that we’re better than another, it’s believing in our own potential regardless of what everybody else thinks in order to become unstoppable in the pursuit of what sets our soul on fire.
I’m talking from experience here the ”I’ll just do it later” attitude doesn’t get us anywhere and it’s the ultimate anti #BossLady mantra. I know sometimes it happens, we can’t help it but to delay our tasks to indulge in well needed 15-minute pause café that ends up lasting for an entire week. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m all about some ”me time” here and there to reenergize, but don’t you think it’s a little excessive when we haven’t gotten near to our workspace for more than a week? Unless we’re on holiday, of course! So, next time we’re feeling off the #BossLady mode, it’s probably procrastination that is keeping us away from being on top of our game. The only way to get back on track is to focus on our goals, stay motivated and just start doing. Plus, some good time management will definitely help, you can find some tips on last week’s post.
Sometimes what is holding us back from achieving greatness is limiting ourselves to our comfort zones. We might have the craziest dreams, but none of them will come true if we don’t take the risk to explore the unknown. We’re confined to what we know and what feels comfortable, because we feel unbothered which brings us a sense of peacefulness and breaking through these walls we build around ourselves can be frightening and too risky. But conceding to such mentality only forces us to settle for a mediocre life, a life less meaningful and less thrilling than the one we actually deserve when we dare to fearlessly step out of our comfort zones.

Now that we’ve put in perspective all that might be keeping us away from being the ultimate #BossLady, without a doubt it’s clear to say that mindset is everything. Although, we have to be indulgent towards ourselves and allow ourselves to take some time to reevaluate our state of mind. We don’t need to have it all figured out all the time, we just need to be one step ahead, think outside the box and believe in our #BossLady abilities to create the life we can’t wait to wake up to.
